Barbara is a registered Music Together^® teacher and holds a B.A. in elementary and music education from Calvin College along with a Master's in Music education (with early childhood specialization) from MSU.  In addition, she has a level I early childhood certification from Gordon's Institute for Music Learning Theory and a level II certification from the Early Childhood Music & Movement Association.  www.giml.org www.ecmma.org

In 2003, Barbara's article describing new Possibilities for Piano Instruction was published in American Music Teacher, and she continues to work closely with Marilyn Lowe, the author of the new piano curriculum, Music Moves for Piano. www.musicmovesforpiano.com 

Barbara's many years of experience teaching piano and classroom music, accompanying, and directing adult and children's singing groups along with her continued interest in professional development have helped her establish a reputation as a master teacher.

As the mother of five children, she knows the value of exposing very young children to a rich musical environment and is passionate about her work as an early childhood music and piano teacher.  She currently enjoys being active in church music as an accompanist and handbell ringer. 

Jennifer is a registered Music Together teacher with an elementary and music education degree from Calvin College. She has taught elementary classroom music and directed middle school musicals. She currently is active in church music as both a soloist and director of children's singing groups. Although she plays piano and clarinet, singing is her first love. As a mother of three, she especially loves singing with children and is passionate about sharing the joy of music. She joined the Music Moves faculty in 2006 and loves teaching Music Together classes.
